Revenge of the Savage Planet: Printer Slurry Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

Printer Slurry in Revenge of the Savage Planet is the gating currency of the entire upgrade system — 42 green cartridges hidden in puzzle-locked and creature-guarded crates across all four planets, each one consumed alongside Carbon, Aluminium, and Silicon whenever the Habitat's 3D printer produces a new tool or upgrade.

Collecting the first one unlocks the Raw Potential Mission to track the rest. All 42 locations — with the exact puzzle solution or gear requirement for each — are documented on Map Master's Revenge of the Savage Planet interactive maps.

How the Slurry Economy Works

Every 3D printer purchase costs one or more Printer Slurry plus a preset amount of elemental ores — Slurry is the green spool icon, first in the Journal's resource list.

Ores are farmable from mineral veins; Slurry is strictly finite, which makes it the real bottleneck on progression.

Two achievements sit on top of the system:

  • Tool (purchase 50% of all upgrades)
  • Power Tool (purchase 100%).

The game supplies exactly enough Slurry to buy everything — meaning all 42 are effectively required for Power Tool, with no surplus.

Two Habits That Prevent Late-Game Pain

Scan before you grab. The Printer Slurry has its own Kindex Resource entry, and picking a cartridge up from its opened crate without scanning first can leave that entry unregistered.

One deliberate scan on the first Slurry found covers it forever.

Check the Journal's region view. Highlighting any region on the map page shows its total Slurry count — the fastest way to confirm whether a zone is cleared before leaving.

Unreached Slurries keep their green icon on the map indefinitely, so nothing is lost by moving on.

The Gear-Gated Ones

A large share of the 42 can't be collected on first contact. The recurring gates: the Toxic Deshocker for the acid swamp cartridge in Chuggler's Swamp, Triple Thrusters + Proton Tether Launcher for the ceiling caves in The Depths of Trrn and Brrrts Frozen Grotto, the Blight Bomb Stabilizer for amber-sealed crates at Savannah Lake — the game's densest Slurry region with seven — the Magnetic Fork for crystal barriers in Cactus Valley, the Franx Underwater Scooter for lake-bottom crates, and the Goo Ingestor for Ferro-electricity puzzles.

One sits directly behind the Batterus Lo wall in Caves of Miranyth, collected naturally during the story.

A Known Community-Reported Bug

Multiple players report finishing with the Raw Potential mission complete, yet coming up one or two Slurries short for the final upgrades.

Before assuming the bug: check for unclaimed death boxes (dropped resources persist as yellow boxes where you died) and confirm every opened crate was actually looted — an opened-but-unclaimed cartridge is the most common culprit.

If the count is genuinely stuck, the shortfall is a confirmed bug rather than a missed location.
